Tea tree oil soap product.
In Australia, tea tree oil has been used by aboriginals for its antiseptic and bactericidal properties for thousands of years. Today, clinical trials have confirmed the efficacy of tea tree oil's anti-fungal, antiseptic, germicidal and anti-bacterial properties. From the Myrtaceae family, tea tree oil (or melaleuca alternifolia) was originally given its name by famous British explorer Captain Cook in 1770. He brewed tea tree oil from leaves to give to his men, in order to prevent scurvy.
The antiseptic qualities of tea tree oil lends itself very well to uses in disinfectants and natural cleaners or soaps like our tea tree oil and herb soap. This soap contains a goodly amount of tea tree oil with the added benefit of powdered herbs, including echinacea, chamomile, sage and calendula petals - all of which are both soothing and healing. Our tea tree oil soap is good for any part of the body, especially troublesome areas such as feet and underarms.
