The Henckels Pro S series of knives is designed with the amateur gourmet in mind. These knives feature full tangs for added support, enhanced bolsters for added balance and control, and the sharp, strong blades Henckels is famous for producing.

The blades on Henckels Pro S knives are made using their SCT process, which creates the best possible steel to meet the demands of the blade, the bolster, and the tang. The steel is then ice-hardened using Henckels’ patented Friodur® method, which gives each knife a combination of sturdiness and edge retention for hours of cutting without sharpening. Some Henckels Pro S series knives also feature hollow edges to allow quicker cutting without food sticking to the blade.

The handles of the Henckels Pro S series have full tangs for added strength and stability, as well as an enhanced bolster to balance the knife in order to increase chopping speed. The handle is covered with triple-riveted Novodur scales, a material that is both unbreakable and dishwasher safe. To prevent corrosion, however, Henckels recommends hand washing all kitchen knives.
